"David knows his stuff"

I maintain my company's purchase flow services and observability infrastructure for a few million customers and I primarily work with Angular, React, Node.Js, k8s and Cloudflare.

I am a Software Engineer, 3D artist, app developer, hobbyist gardener and homelab enthusiast. I started my journey 13 years ago when I got bored and found a random PDF about learning OpenGL and GLSL. So while most kids played football, I was learning GLSL and C++ on a 1GB AMD Radeon HD 7670M.

And then I learnt Blender and made a lot of cool stuff.

I also run my own (overhaul in progress) homelab with a Cisco 3750 (yes, I use a serial console) with a few VLANs, compute nodes, Proxmos, a NAS and an L3 load balancer.

Throughout my career, I've worked on breaking down monoliths into microservices, optimizing CI/CD pipelines for up to `10x` faster deployments, and making sure infrastructure holds up in real-world production environments.

Now I work as a Senior Software Engineer at Newfold Digital, where I maintain high-traffic web applications and backend services for brands like Bluehost, Networksolutions, HostGator, and Web.com
